First time there. Had a great experience! Drinks and apps were all delicious. The crab fritters were amazing and their old-fashions are legit. Cool rooftop spot on top of the Hilton Hotel.
The Montford rooftop bar is a hidden gem in downtown Asheville. The atmosphere features beautiful panoramic views of the blue ridge mountains. There's indoor and outdoor seating available, along with local stoneware and petite glassware. The small plates menu is refined and full of flavors perfect for pairing with signature cocktails, wine, or beer. The food is thoughtful which is hard to find at a bar. Come here if you want to experience elevated bar food. Our server Michelle was kind and inviting. She offered us sunglasses to sit outside on the patio and kept tabs on us throughout the night. We tried the truffle Parmesan fries and they were amazing. Perfectly fried, dusted in parm, fresh parsley, with a side of addicting garlic aioli. Our group is apart of the Hilton family so this visit was extra special. Thank you guys!
Great atmosphere. Bartenders were clever and knowledgeable about cocktails off menu which was nice. Would highly recommend coming here and seeing nils he was very accommodating and overall great individual with knowledge of local spots and spirits.
Stumbled upon this wonderful spot. Great atmosphere, views and craft cocktails. We tried the crab cakes and bread pudding, and they were both delightful. Since we visited in January, we were able to chat with Jon and Joel while they introduced us to new and local flavors. Chemist Gin, Boulevardier and the Purple Rain...my favorite. Thank you Jon and Joel for a great evening. We will be back.
Lively atmosphere, & attentive service from Jon and Claire at the bar. There were some exciting spring cocktails on the menu. I ended up with a mocktail— the blueberry cucumber smash.
View is great, one of my favorites in Downtown Asheville! Food was yummy and little touches like homemade chips served with their sandwich will get some extra love from me. Our serve, Ambrose was great and recommended cocktail specials and suggested I get the blue Hawaiian but with coconut rum and it was perfect to enjoy in some of the first bits of sunshine in months! Can’t wait to come back more this summer. Thank you!
We went here for dinner and a good view of sunset a few nights ago. What a great view! The pretzel baguette with beer cheese and the Brisket Mac and Cheese were both really good and filling. We REALLY enjoyed the bread pudding - it actually reminded us more of a monkey bread. Our waiter Elliot was very nice and did a good job at checking in on us. Only downside was the glass around the rooftop made it hard to take pictures of the mountains/ sunset. Tip: Bring sunglasses, if you are waiting on sunset and plan to sit outside!
Claire and Ambrose were friendly and made me feel like I was a local at my own neighborhood bar. The sunset views make stopping in for a simple cocktail worth it. It is not a huge space, so I recommend reservations when possible.
